Memorise the Qur'an, ayah by ayah

Hifza is an app for hifz. The Arabic text of every ayah, how it is read in Latin and Cyrillic letters, the reciter's voice, and a teacher that listens to you and points out mistakes — all in one place.

Reading a surah in the Hifza app

Two ways to learn

Take whichever suits you. Both feed the same progress.

On your own

Listen to the ayah, hide the text with one tap and recite it from memory. Mark what you have learned — the surah starts assembling in front of you.

With the AI teacher

Press the microphone and recite aloud. The teacher listens, tells you which word went wrong and gives you a score — as if it were sitting beside you.

How it works

1

With Google or your phone number. No password to invent.

2

Pick a surah

All 114 surahs are here. The short ones are an easy place to begin.

3

Recite and check

Listen to the reciter first, then read it yourself. The teacher shows the mistakes.

4

Come back

The app works out which ayah needs reviewing and when.

What you get

Latin and Cyrillic transliteration

You can pronounce it correctly even if you do not read Arabic: long vowels and deep letters are marked separately.

Reciter audio

Every ayah as its own recording. Listen, then repeat it yourself.

An AI teacher

It listens to your voice, names the word you got wrong and tells you how to fix it.

A review schedule

A memorised ayah comes back after 4 hours, 1 day, 3 days and a week — so it stays with you.

The surah assembling

Your memorised ayahs line up one after another. You watch the surah come together.

Frequently asked

Is Hifza free?

Yes. Every feature is free for now.

What if I cannot read Arabic?

That is fine. Every ayah is also written in Latin and Cyrillic letters with pronunciation marks, so your recitation comes out right.

How does the teacher check me?

The AI listens to the ayah you recited, compares it with the original text, shows you which word was wrong and gives a score.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open it in your browser. You can add it to your home screen if you like.

Which surahs are included?

All 114 surahs of the Qur'an — 6236 ayahs.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your memorised ayahs are kept in your account and stay there when you sign in from another device.
