About the app

The app is open and simple: it helps you memorise the Qur'an. Below is exactly what it does and what it does not.

What Hifza is

A study tool for memorisation. It shows the Qur'anic text, plays the reciter, listens to your recitation and reminds you when to review.

It is not a madrasah or an educational institution and it does not provide religious education.

It is not a religious organisation and it calls you to no movement or group.

It carries no political, extremist or unlawful material of any kind.

It distributes no translation, tafsir, hadith, fatwa or religious ruling.

The Qur'anic text is not altered, abridged or commented upon.

The sources of the text and the audio are listed openly on a separate page.

The microphone turns on only when you press the button.

A recording is sent for checking and is not kept afterwards; what is kept is the score and the teacher's advice.

We are ready to submit the app's material for state religious review where an authorised body requires it.
